This is where you and thousands of people across Britain pledge to make a difference. With your generosity we hope to raise millions for the world's poor and oppressed. So please give what you can.
We also want to defeat injustice and poverty. For that we need to create a movement of change so the voices of the powerless are no longer ignored by the powerful. That's why we want more than your money: we want your time, energy and passion so you and people around you have a stake in fighting for a fairer world now.
So please, pledge to do something for Christian Aid Week. It doesn't matter how big or small your pledge is. Whatever you do, do something.

Friends of Essex Churches Sponsored Bike Ride and Walk
Saturday 13th September 2008
This popular event will be held again soon, sponsor forms and lists of Churches in our area which will be open, are now available. Please help yourself from the packet on the noticeboard in the main hall.
We also need volunteers to welcome visitors and sign their sponsor forms. If you are able to spend an hour (or maybe two) sitting in the entrance lobby and offering people tea or coffee etc. please sign the list on the notice board in the main hall. It is good to provide a welcome smile to those visiting and it is appreciated by those taking part.
