Charities we will be supporting this year
We will be supporting the following two charities with any collections taken at special services/fundraising events from our Christmas Carol Service in 2008 to our Harvest Service in 2009.
Hand in Hand
Cry in the Dark
For more information on these charities please visit their websites by clicking on the images on the right.
Thank you to everyone who supported the Carol Services last year. Cheques for £250 were forwarded to both “Cry in the Dark” and “Hand in Hand”, our chosen charities for this year, and letters of thanks have been received from both charities.
Hand in Hand state that our generosity will enable most of the electrical work at New Hope on the IT/Homework room to be carried out. This will make an enormous difference when complete. At present many of the children get up at 4am and walk several miles to school to do homework before lessons as there is not sufficient space or facilities at the home.
Congratulations
To Emily and Jerry Dolden on the birth of their son, Daniel on Wednesday 16th June.
